Wires Leads
Anyone else drowning in leads, wires, connectors, charters.?
Are house is a spaghetti mess of power cables, chargers, usb cables. Thing is can never seem to find what i want when i need it. ANyone else got this problem. ANy advice on organising them, my life is spent searching for cables.
No, my husband has them all tucked nicely away.

What do you wrap engine wires and leads in?
The bundles of wires in my '94 Golf Mk3 are wrapped in a sort of felt back duct tape, but as it's 15 years old it's decayed and falling off, what should I re-wrap them in? A link to a site where it can be bought would be really helpful.
The original stuff you mention is referred to generically as "friction tape". If your local parts store doesn't carry it, try your local sporting goods store. Hockey players wrap it around the blades of their sticks. The Russel wrap-it is just a specific brand of wire loom, also should be available at any Auto parts store. It's nice in that it gives extra protection against chafing. I like to use that, and then wrap the ends and where the wires branch off their separate ways with the friction tape to keep the loom from sliding, and keep moisture out.
Good point Kevin M. Radio Shack also has loom. Might be cheaper too.
