White Blue Logo
Can you bleach white shirts that have blue writing/pictures?
All my white shirts have either a small nike/adidas logo, a large Dickies logo, and a large american eagle logo. Is it okay to bleach these or will it ruin the blue?
Not if it's straight bleach. It will ruin the shirt. The best to do is find color-safe bleach...or detergent with color-safe bleach. Do not use straight bleach with anything colored!!

No matter how successful your band is, band logos are essential to building a fan base and establishing yourself as a serious musical act. But the truly great news is that getting the band logo that is perfect for your band is no longer the costly endeavour that it once was, which means that even those small bands that start out in the basement or garage can have a professional band logo created just for them. Your band logo can allow you to become memorable in the eyes of those who appreciate your music – and if you become famous someday – you may see your logo displayed prominently on tee shirts and posters – or scratched into wooden desktops in high schools around the world (which was, by the way, the reason for the design of the two "s's" that make up the end of the Kiss logo – the designer – the band's guitarist Ace Frehley- wanted it to be easy to carve into desktops and park benches across the country).
Designing Your Band Logo
While you're probably not interested in corrupting the minds of youth to the point that they are vandalizing wooden objects in your name, you do want your logo to be attractive to your fans and to portray the image that your music and your band want the world to see. AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Kiss, the Rolling Stones, and others rank among the world's favorite bands – and as such, their logos are easily recognized, even without a note of their music being played. Most of these logos are infamous because of the special detail played in the visuals aspects of their band logo design and unique lettering. Let's look at some of the music world's most famous and widely recognized band logos for some band logo design inspiration.
The Who. While The Who's logo was never featured as part of the cover art for any of their albums, their logo is still recognized by music buffs around the world. The Who's logo features normal bold letters that were turned into a logo with only minor adjustments. The "H" in the words "the" and "who" is merged together, which gives a unique and memorable visual while the letter "O" is intensified with an arrow. The logo was (in the 60s) fresh and wild, just like The Who's music in that period.
Grateful Dead. Deadheads around the globe recognize the Dead by their red/white/blue skull with classic thunderbolt. The design is just one of many that the Grateful Dead went through over the years, but is the most easily memorable. It was actually born from necessity; the band needed a way to recognize their luggage at the airport – and this logo was originally created for that purpose! This Dead logo is a great example of how someone's everyday art can be the center point for a logo that will last throughout the ages – nearly a half century has passed since the logo was created – and people still know that it belongs to the Grateful Dead.
The Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones "tongue" logo is still popular in pop culture – you'll find it on tee shirts in your favorite hip clothing stores and on teenagers around the world – even those who couldn't even tell you one song that the Rolling Stones performed. After all, the parents of most teenagers today weren't even born when this logo first made its appearance in 1971. Absent the words "The Rolling Stones" most music fans can tell you the origin of this band logo. There are only three colors in the Rolling Stones tongue logo – red, black and white – and blow it up or size it down, it is easy to remember and worked well to express the musical style of the Stones – wild, sensual, and provocative. Never mind that Mick Jagger's infamous lips often come to mind when you see this big tongue – this is one band logo that will endure throughout time.
AC/DC. No discussion of band logos could be complete without including AC/DC, whose logo is so simplistic (like the Kiss logo) that one would think it was designed almost as a second thought. Described as gothic lettering, the AC/DC logo went on to inspire future logos for decades. The AC/DC band logo is made with straight lines and is easily recognized in any color – making it perfect for any album cover artwork.
