Voice Quality Stereo
What is the quality and format of recordings made with the Sandisk Sansa?
I'm planning on picking up a Sandisk Sansa at some point in the near future. I understand that it has a voice recorder function. Does anybody know what format and what quality the recordings are made? Can you do stereo at 16-bit uncompressed wave? Does it have a line in?
If the recording is any good, I'll be hooking it up to a 16 channel mixer for podcasting, but I'm only interested in production quality recording.
If the Sansa is not ideal for this, are you aware of anything that is for a similar price that has removable storage like the Sansa?
I should mention that I'm talking about the record quality, not the overall product quality.
Can it record to uncompressed wave that is stereo, 16-bit, at 44.1k samples per second? If not, what DOES it record to?
Compared to these I will give it a 1 out of 10, 10 being greatest quality
