Vibration Pads
Will i be able to install vibration pads to an ac unit myself without too much trouble?
I am about to embark on a journey onto my roof to put something under the a/c units near my skylight that are vibrating - i just saw (through my skylight) my a/c units from my split ductless system are now sitting on wood planks just lying across my roof! No wonder i've been hearing buzzing vibration since moving in. All the other floors i can see and they have their a/c on rubber pads a few inches off the roof. Anyhow can i pull this off myself or should i get a professional, i'm a fyi type of guy and i rather spend my own effort and money and get the experience than wait for the landlord and learn nothing. Also, do you think it's ok to leave them screwed to the planks, and put the planks on vibration pads, and what can i use besides the official pads for the unit?

Of coarse anything {cork, rubber} will help but if your going to spend the time to do it, using pad that are designed for that will be best.
You can check with some HVAC companies in your area for the damper/pads.
