Usb Belt Drive
why doesnt the headphone jack hole doesnt work on my computer?
I have a Dell Dimension 8400 and the jack hole for the headphones dont work. the usb ports are right next to the jack hole and they both work fine. i opened it up and everything was plugged in. I dont know why it doestn work, help?
can you also give me step by step instructions on how to do whatever to fix this problem (i probably have to fix it within the computer's data), i know only alil on how computers function, but i know alot more on what they funtion on (by that i mean i know the cables, belts, Dvd drive, hard drive, video card, etc.)

Ok, well there could me many things affecting your ability to listen to sounds via. headphone.
1. Your "Line-In" volume is turned down or muted.
Fixing this well tell us two things, weather or not this was the problem, and to make sure you have a functioning sound card on your motherboard.
a) Go to start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control

b) If you do see volume control click Options>Properties
Verify that you have the "Line-in" option checked and go ahead and check everything else as well. Click ok.
c) Make sure that the "Line-In" section isn't muted or turned down too far. If you still cant hear through the headphones play around with the other settings. If all this doesn't work go and download the file that I stated before and install it to replace corrupted drivers on your PC.
2. You have a courrputed sound device on your motherboard. In which the warranty on your PC is probably expired (Usually 1 year) and you are just out of luck without purchasing and installing a whole new soundcard.

The Need Of Pen Drive
Pen drive gave the ultimate solution to transfer the data not only small amount of data even the large amount of data can be transferred from one computer to another by then it can also be called by the name Storage medium, days where there when we used to carry floppy, CD, to transfer the data from one place to another which was a failure, the chances of data being corrupted in the floppy drives and CD's wouldn't open the file floppies tapes easily get corrupted, the entire project couldn't be copied in one storage medium all these problems where over come by pen drive.
Pen drive is a small key-ring-size device that can be used to easily transfer data between two systems through USB-compatible. The best feature of the pen drive is that it doesn't require any software to enable the process for reading writing or even copying the data from one end to another, the size of the pen drive will not be more than our finger which is very easy to carry, even we can use as a keychain, wear the same around the neck, belt.
Using Pen drive we can transfer the data, music, video with just a plug-in. USB (Universal Serial Bus) it is a external standard port which enables the communication between the systems.
