Turntable TtUsb Balancing a turn-table needle?...?
How much grams of weight do you put on a needle? Is 3 grams too much?
I have a Numark TTUSB turntable.
I already checked the manual and they are asking for minimum of 3 grams of weight.

It depends on the needle. That table comes with a DJ style cartridge / conical stylus that's made to track at over 3 grams. If you try to track lighter, you'll just get mistracking which is worse for records than a little too much tracking force. If you're not using the turntable to scratch or DJ, you could change the cartridge to a reasonably-priced hi-fi model with an elliptical stylus someday. Would sound a little cleaner and track lighter to reduce record wear. Something like an Audio Technica AT95E or AT110E would probably work out well.
