Powering my turntables?
Hey, my friend just gave me an old turn table, and it doesnt have a regular plug in for power...it has a cable (with a headphone like connector [1/8"?]), that is supposed to draw its power from the amp or what ever...problem is I cant find such a thing on my amp...
does anyone know how im supposed to power the turntable?

All I could find on this turntable is that you need an adapter (power supply) to power it. This means it could run from almost any voltage, AC or DC. The Toshiba site doesn't even mention turntables. There's a rant about this turntable from 2005 at the link below. It kind of looks like your friend knew junk when he had it and gave it to you. Frankly, your best method of dealing with this turntable would be to find the nearest garbage can or dust bin.
