Turntable Sets What are some good songs to scratch to on a turntable?
I just got a set of turntables and would like to practice some turntable stuff. I'm looking for a few records (pref. some good old hip hip..NO SOULJA BOY type stuff please) that i can scratch with to practice.

I have a GE belt driven turntable. It's an all-in-one tuner, phono, tape deck unit. It's only the 33 rpm setting that is spinning too fast. It plays 45's just fine. There is no external pitch or speed control besides the switch between 33 and 45.
depending on the drive system it is using either the belt is stretched or the idler gear is worn down depending on whether it is a belt drive or idler gear drive. You can probably pull off the platter by removing a little clip around the spindle area and see what type it is. If it is direct drive then one of the electronic control circuits may have failed. The former two are easier to fix.
