Turntable Quartz Lock

How can I plug in my turntable/cassette player into my computer?

I am already trying to do that by plugging them into a Quartz Lock Digital Synthisizer. It is old however, from the 80's i think and it was not meant to do this.
I want to record some cassettes and record onto my computer. I'm having trouble with sticking a wire into the "line out/headphone" slot and into the "line in" and "microphone" slot. I want a converter that lets you plug in the stereo cable (the red and white jacks) into one end and into the "line in"on the other end. I don't know what to word it on amazon so if anybody could tell me what it's called, were to get it even make those that would be appreciated!
