Turntable Phono Make

Turntable has sound coming out of only one speaker? Help?

I recently bought a turntable from Stanton and it was the 150 series. I am having the following problems with sound. Sometimes I only get sound out of one speaker and other times the sound gets louder or lower for no reason. I have switched and changed the phono plugs but that did not make a difference. Am I doing something wrong with the turntable? My amp system is a Sherwood RX-4108 and should have the amp power. I just dont know where to begin or what could be wrong. It also happens when I take the needle off the record and then put it back down then it seems to go out in one speaker and the speaker changes. Help?

is the needle house loose from the arm bar?

you checked the wires from the turntable to the amp, what about from the amp to the speakers.

do you have all of your pots (knobs) normalized (set to the middle)?

if not any of the above it may be something wrong within the amp or the record player.
