What are the best entry level dj mixers and cd turntables?
i was considering a pioneer djm-400 and two cdj-200s

Problem recording using audacity and creative soundblaster soundcard?
Hello,
I am attempting to rip some vinyl from a turntable onto a laptop. I am using Windows Vista and the Creative Soundblaster 24 external soundcard.
So, when I connect the soundcard to a USB port, start audacity and record, I'm getting little to no sound despite all my recording inputs at their highest levels. This didn't happen in the past using the same stuff. This just recently started and I can not for the life of me figure out why or how to fix it. Any suggestions?
Tough question.
Try using the same setup on a friends computer. The USB based soundblaster cards are a little flakey and can go out on you without notice.
Also, try just running the sound from your turntable into the computers mic in. see if you get sound that way.
