Turntable Crosley Usb
Which USB Turntable should I buy?
I have looked at the Stanton T.90 and the Crosley AV Room Turntable. The Stanton seems to have more than I need, but I'm not sure of the quality of the Crosley. Suggestions?
i'am a big stanton fan so i would suggest that cuz i know that their product is good, purhaps one of my buddies had one of those T90 and its pretty good, but i never seen the Crosley one before. you should check out some reviews on the web

Anyone good at using Audacity Software to transfer Records to Computer?
I just got a Crosley CR249 USB turntable that came with Audacity software. The turntable works great but I cannot get the software to work. Tried on laptop and desktop. It will show sound coming in on the volume bars but the wave lines are flat. I have installed, uninstalled, gone to the web site. Nothing plays back on my computer. I have all the settings exactly like the instructions say.
I'm worn out and brain dead from this...it was supposed to be so easy. HA HA.
So can anyone explain how to use it so a 2 year old can understand how to get it to work? I would give 100,000 points if I could for the answer to this problem.

Hi Teddy's mom. Somewhere in the help (i think) it says, if you're not getting any sound to check your sound card settings. Control panel > audio devices and settings > on the audio tab, check the sound recorder window, it should have USB in the name. If it is the same as what is in the sound playback window, use the drop-down arrow to change sound recorder device to the USB device (there should only be one listed). Apply changes, then OK. Then try recording again. I hope that helps.
