Okay, I've got an old record player and amp that sound incredible. Because of this, I don't want to spend another couple hundred dollars on a turntable that has a USB converter on it. There's got to be something to convert my records without having to buy another record player.
My laptop only has USB and a 1/8" microphone port on it. On my old computer, the microphone port worked great for transferring vinyl, but this one sounds like crap, even with the same programs, same record player, and same amp.
Does anyone know if I can buy a RCA-USB converter that will sound good? Does USB even transfer sound? Any help here would be great.
I suggest you get yourself a USB Sound Card. Creative manufactures some good ones. You can also try other ones. Here is one from Sound Blaster
