Turntable Connection Recording to my Laptop without a line in?
My lap-top's sound card doesn't have a line input and I do not want to record through the mic-in because of the horrible sound quality it produces. I will be recording through my 2 CDJ turntables that use RCA connection. Is there anyway I can record my mixes in good quality without getting a new sound card? Maybe something that uses the USB slot?
I would have said Radio Shack, but it looks as if they no longer sell electronics.
Anyway, you want a stereo attenuator - 10db will probably be enough. If you don't want to build one (it's just resistors, connectors and a case http://www.uneeda-audio.com/pads/ ), you can buy one, but you'd have to search.
