Do you need a cartridge for a turntable?
Hi, I just bought a turntable online and it says it doesn't come with a cartridge. Does that mean I can't you the thing or what? I have absolutely no experience with turntables. Please inform me as much as you can...thank you.
The phono cartridge is the "head" that contains the needle and plugs onto the end of the arm. You will need to find out which cartridge is compatible with your turntable. You can do this by typing the make and model of the turntable into Google and adding "phono cartridge," and search. Radio Shack may also stock the cartridge. Have fun!
