How to test various speakers?
I am building a boombox out of various other boomboxes, sound systems, turntables, stereos, cd players ect.
Some of these have spent their lives outdoors exposed to the elements. I need a way to test them to make sure they function properly before I make my design. I am using everything from sub woofers to super tweeters all of different watts and ohms. Any help is appreciated.

I like your answer, but the thing is, I am dealing with raw speaker components. They are no longer in boxes and do not have plugs that would properly hook up to a receiver (by receiver you mean an Amp?).
Connect the speakers to a receiver and listen to them. If they rattle or buzz or sound distorted, toss them. For the woofers you can put your fingers on the cones and gently push them in and let them spring back. You shouldn't feel or hear any significant rubbing sounds - if you do, the voicecoil is probably shot. Also check the condition of the surrounds where they attach to the frame of the speaker.
You can check the impedance by putting your multimeter across the positive and negative terminals on the speaker with the speaker disconnected. That will give you a static impedance, but it's in the ballpark for your purposes.
The bigger question is, how are you determining the proper crossover frequencies for your crossovers and how are you going to balance the sound with compenents of different impedances in the same cabinet?
