Tonearm High
Do any high end tone-arms have auto returns?
I'm exploring the possibilities of higher end turntables with separate tonearms. My question is: If I get a high end turntable, and a separate tonearm, does it then mean that it would be manual by definition? Do any of these higher end tonearms (Rega, et al) have an auto return mechanism? I can't seem to find any info from spec sheets.
you are talking about "semi automatic" turn tables.
You set the stylus, then when the tone arm reaches the end of the platter, it trips a cam to send the tone arm back to rest.
