Why am I getting a buzzing sound when I plug in one of the RCA jacks of my turntable?
I have a technics 1200 mk2 going to a preamp into a new stereo. When I try to plug in the red RCA cable into the preamp or stereo I get an awful buzzing sound. The other cable seems to work fine, and sounds great. What do I do?
Most probably your rca cable has a contact error. Try to use a diferent rca cable. Also check whether your amp has a dedicated phono input, as not every amps have. If not, you will need a phono preamp box.
