Technics Home Turntable

i have an american audio v2000 plus amp, is it too strong for my two 150 watts(each) speakers?
i started dj'ing at home with turntables, but a friend told me that the american audio v2000 plus amp is too strong for the 300 watts combination of my two technics speakers, i tried to research for myself but couldnt find anything. help please!
Hugo - You probably will be fine as long as you don't push the amp so loud that it goes into distortion.
Watch the peak or limit lights on the amp when you are playing the system loudly. If they are not lighting up, you should be fine. If they are lighting up, back off on the volume.
That is good practice for all DJ's and pro audio engineers.

Decksaver Dust Cover for Technics SL-1200 and 1210 Turntable $59.99 This Decksaver Dust Cover is specifically designed to protect your Technics SL-1200 or 1210 turntable from the harsh environment of the modern club. It'll help keep smoke, dust, and the sticky liquids in check that are daily hazards for DJs and club owners, especially when you're not physically there to protect the equipment yourself. Decksaver covers are tailor-made to exacting standards to fit the SL-1200 or 1210 like a glove. Rather than using cheaper inferior acrylic, it is made from polycarbonate—a very hardwearing plastic used in bullet proof glass—and made to fit your gear as closely as possible. The use of polycarbonate means that thinner material can be used, making for discrete and strong, yet attractive protection for this particular unit. Great care is taken to trim each Decksaver to achieve the best fit and still leave cables in place.Polycarbonate dust cover designed to fit Technics SL-1200 or 1210 exactly Protects your turntable from dust, smoke, and sticky liquids Fits snug while leaving cables in place |

My studio-technics-turntable-man's temptation-lazarou
My technics 1200s aren't picking up my serato signal . . .?
I have two SL1200Mk2 Technic Turntables, one i just bought today and the other i have had for quite a while(that i have only used a few times), I hooked everything up to my serato scratch live and my mixer and the needle didn't pick up a signal. i figured my needle and stylus were old so i went and bought two new needles and stylus, when i came home and connected them and tested my system, i still had the same problem. I even tested my denon CDJ and it worked perfectly. what might be the problem?
last time I used the Technic that Ive owned prior to today, it worked perfectly, all my connections are right...
The problem is probably the cartridge. Try removing and reinstalling the cartridge. If that doesn't fix it, double check your tonearm wiring. You may have a bad cartridge.
