Technics Cd Turntables
how to organize my cd's for dj'ing?
I have recently sold my technics turntables and replaced them with pioneer cdj's. I have transfered all my vinyl to cd, but i cant decide how to organise the new music that i buy.
Should I keep them pretty much a track per cd, have a cd full of tracks, just organised in music style?
any dj's tell me what system works for them?
I sort my new music into 'generations.' Like 80's music, 90's music etc but at a smaller scale, like Jan - June 2007, July - Dec 2007.
I find that this is the easiest way.
If you find that hard though, try sorting by genre. Make sure you don't have different CD's for "disco" and "disco/electronic" as this will be majorly confusing!
