Technics 1200

spilled coffee on a G4 powerbook and Apple Technical Service asks me 1200 Eur for repairing it? Is it worthy?

I'm thinking about buying a new Powerbook.
1200 Euros for the repairation is over any psychological barrier, and just to get bakc to the previous state: a slow -comparig to the new MacBooks- G4.

Any advice?

It sounds like a ton of money to repair a slow computer. Maybe you should get a new one. ... Either that, or you could go in yourself, dry out the innards, reseat the keyboard, and make sure all of the connections are good. This takes some advanced capabilities, but it's totally possible. You need a tiny screwdriver in addition to something metal to rest your feet on so you don't cause static damage to the innards of your machine.
