Clock Disc
How can I set the Internal clock for linux on ps3 VIA SHELL?
I just got my ps3 back from repair, and the internal clock had to be disconnected in the repair process
the filesystem won't mount because the clock was reset to 2006 while the last mount time was this month.
I tried setting the clock on the original install disc I had used, and it appeared to work but after rebooting it still says the clock is @ 2006
how can I set the clock manually in the prompt/shell WITHOUT involving the install disc (which apparently doesn't work)?
i'm using ubuntu 9.10
before I tried my ubuntu install disc, I had set the ps3 XMB's clock.
that did not help.
for anyone else experiencing the problem i'm having, here's the solution:
once the error comes up, type:
fsck
(short for FileSystem Check)
then push enter.
it will ask if you want to fix, then type the letter:
y
push enter and let it finish, then type:
reboot
good to go!

I have 6 identical Pentium computers running windows XP. All have the same clock speed, RAM, hard disk size. However, they seem to be operating at different speeds relating to the opening of screens, programs, accessing the internet, etc. What factors would make them seem to be so different?
