Review Of The Epson Stylus Color 600
The Epson Stylus Color 600 is among the company's longest running inkjet printers. Stylus Color 600 provides sharp quality printing and can handle up to 1440 x 720 dpi resolution for both the color and black prints. The printing method of the printer is four color (CMYK) drop-on-demand MicroPiezo inkjet technology with special QuickDry feature.
The printer has the decent sound level of 47 dB (A). The dimension of this printer is 16.9” x 9.1” x 6.1” and weight is 11.5 lbs. It uses bidirectional printing with logic seeking in text and graphic modes. It comes with printable area of 8.26” x 10.34”. The monochrome head has 64 nozzles and color head has 96 nozzles. It can easily has a print head life of 2000 million dots/nozzle (color and monochrome) with a total print volume of 75,000 pages (A4).
The printer is great for photo printing. It has the AcuPhoto halftoning feature which is exclusively for Epson printers. It comes with two paper trays – one input tray which can handle up to 100 sheets at a time and one output tray, which has the capacity to hold up to 30 sheets at one time. You can print on envelopes, letter size papers, special size papers such as A4, B5, statement and executive and legal size papers. The printer has the facility of customizing the paper size as per user's convenience.
One drawback of Epson Stylus Color 600 is that it does not have greatest of speeds. Its printing speed is up to 6 PPM for text and up to 4 PPM for color print which is not very fast. But as long as you do not need a fast printer at reasonable price, this proves to be an excellent selection for you.
