To sum it up, "Jersey Shore" was an experiment of human Debacle thought up by MTV. The idea was to round up a bunch of "guidos and guid-etts" Italian Americans with personality disorders, and follow them around the sex- and booze-drenched bar district of the New Jersey coastline.
While the cast is loaded with severalbelow averag intelligence , the most fascinating has to be Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi.
The Clothing even had a differnt appeal, it seemed to fit the casts personality to a Tee, most of the season we saw the boys wearing different styles of the Rush COuture custom maked T-shirts that have seem to becaome part of the guido culture.
Mike is the egotistical maniac who dubbed his abs "the situation" after a certain confrontation with a group of girls at a bar. The espression caught on quickly, and has more recently switched from describing his body to representing his entire reality.
Snooki, a delusional guidette, describes her perfect man as "Italian, dark, muscles, juicehead, guido!"
This season's climax when Snooki took a man sized punch to the face from an drunk at a local Jersey bar. MTV demonstrated its moral righteousness by refusing to air the violence during the episode, instead leaked the footage to other Places and promoting the entire episode around the event.
It's hard to say what is worse: the universal immoral behavior the characters involve themselves in, or the racial undertones unmistakable in the way that MTV has presented the program. What's more difficult to say is whether the actors are in on the joke, or if it's even socially acceptable to take some form of pleasure from watching this kind of show.
once someone starts watching the show,It's like watching a train wreck it's more Like a drug, the show grabs its victim, gives them a good time and leaves them asking for more. Since the show is so mysteriously successful, there they have started and almost completed season 2 of the jersey shore that was filmed mostly in South Beach Miami, which should air sometime in summer maybe mid june.
