Stereo Test How Do You Connect Outdoor Speakers To A Stereo?
I have 2 outdoor speakers, speaker wire, and a stereo. I plugged the speakers into the stereo, and I tested it with a CD player and it didn't work. I have no idea what to do. I still have to try to strip the wire but I still have some copper or whatever showing. I tried that and it didn't work. Please Help!
First off, do not let the two copper wires touch each other while plugged into the stereo, some stereos self-destruct if the speakers are shorted. There are two wires per speaker, and you hook one up to positive on the stereo, the other to negative. Keep them the same for the two speakers. If you are still getting nothing, I usually do the "battery test" Plug each of the two wires to a 9v battery, and you should get a pop from the speaker. If not, something is wrong internally. If they work and pop, then you have hooked them up incorrectly. A better check is a vom meter, and you should get 5-8 ohms across the two terminals of the speaker.

The Ultrasone HFI-780 are foldable, closed-back headphones with a very exclusive design and extraordinary sound, offering the highest standard of technologies: S-Logic Natural Surround Sound Plus, MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology), and safer hearing.CharacterThe exclusive design of the HFI-780 headphones is accentuated by the polar-silver color. The HFI-780 contains all Ultrasone technologies such as S-Logic Plus, ULE, and safer hearing. The HFI-780 was developed from the studio sector and is distinguished by a frequency response specifically tuned for DVD and gaming. Sophisticated home cineasts and music enthusiasts have been overwhelmed by the impressing sound that appears as though you are listening to speakers meters away. Gamers are impressed by the exact sound reproduction, bringing the gaming world alive. The low frequency ranges are raised to reach the highest possible synergies with DSP-Systems like Dolby headphones and Yamaha Silent Cinema.ULE-technologyTo understand what ULE-technology does, you need to know that most headphone drivers produce low-frequency magnetic fields as they convert an electric signal into an acoustical signal that you hear as music. In response, Ultrasone developed a special MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology) to reduce the radiation by up to 98% compared to current headphones. The ULE-technology has stood the test of international review and is recommended by technical surveillance organizations. Ultrasone originally developed the ULE-technology for professionals as they spend half of their lives in headphones. But due to grand requests the, ULE-technology has now been integrated in other Ultrasone headphone lines.S-Logic Natural Surround SoundThrough the S-Logic Natural Surround Sound the usual headphone sound will be moved out of the head into the room around you. The sound is no longer locked in, but appears broad and detached. Directions and distances can be heard and perceived--it's just like being in a live concert. For this technology, additional equipment is not required. Take a pair of Ultrasone headphones plus your sound device and you will be ready for the 3-dimensional sound enjoyment.S-Logic PlusS-Logic Plus is the enhanced version of the S-Logic System. The specific acoustically designed earcups of the HFI models and their stereo tonal fine-tuning of the acoustic reinforcing devices present sophisticated sound and technology. Due to an additional damping, drivers and the bufferboard complement one another with the new spatial-sounding unit. The final result is a most neutral sound impression including optimized distance perception of voices and instruments.Safer hearingS-Logic does not only create a Natural Surround Sound. S-Logic allows, at the same time, a reduction of sound pressure levels by up to 40% (3-4 dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening. However, Ultrasone generally advises not to listen to music

You might not need to go to a car stereo installation school to learn how to install your CD player, however you need to train yourself how to do the job. There are no two ways about it. Car stereo installation guides are all over. The best place to begin is the store you bought your stereo. Chances are, they have a guide to help you on the steps. Some stores install for customers at a fee while others as an after sale service. Other stores give a general guideline with no specific details. Manuals are a great help but, with all the technical jargon, what you need is a simple guide that will provide you with guidelines step by step, as you prepare to install a new car stereo. The first thing that you need therefore is information about installation.
While you choose the details that will guide you, take time to read even before you start removing your old car stereo. The removal of your old system will determine how well your new system will be installed. It takes a methodical removal that will make sure everything is intact. In your guide, you will realize that the tools of installation are the first requirement. These tools may be wire cutters, screwdrivers set, electrical tape, wire strippers and many others. Of course, you need to have the new stereo you are about to install. The next thing you do is read the steps one at a time and follow them as accurately as you possibly can. You might think that you are wasting time but, hurrying through the process might disappoint you.
While beginning the process of car stereo installation, make sure that your fitting is right. The slots must fit the new stereo and that will have been taken care of while purchasing. The first thing you do when removing your old system is to make sure you connect your ground cable from the battery. It is highly dangerous to work on it while it is connected. After you are done removing, connect the wires manually if you do not have the wiring harness to install your stereo. Follow the next important steps while constantly referring to the manual to make sure the right wires are connected. When you are ready to install, slide your car stereo into the mounting bracket. If necessary, your old stereo mounting bracket might be needed. Slide your new car stereo in the slot in the dash and if your are thinking of screwing it, do not.
This is because you need to test it first. Reconnect the negative cable. You are now ready to test the car stereo. Power it and put music on and see that the speakers are working properly. If all your speakers are in the right shape, you know that your work has gone as planned. It is time to screw it in. When you put the dash cover back on, your new car stereo installation process has been completed. You will be surprised how following instructions to the letter goes a long way to help people even if they do not have the slightest idea of how the system works. If your car stereo installation was not a success, you do not have to stress yourself out. Go through every detail carefully and you will arrive on the problem and solve it. The process guarantees you great stereo entertainment for all your car rides.
