i want a phonograph that i could just plug it in my stereo or sound system and listen to it there. will this be the right one for me?

That would work. The turntable has a built-in phono preamp, so you don't even need a stereo receiver with special "phono" inputs. You can plug this thing into anything that has a standard line-level input.
"Belt drive" means the platter is driven by a belt. In higher-priced audiophile turntables, this usually means less noise. In lower-priced turntables, it more likely means poor speed stability, particularly if there's no pitch control to correct the speed should it start to drift and get inaccurate over time.
"Automatic" means the table will lift the needle and turn off at the end of an album side. Convenient, but there's no well built automatic table I'm aware of these days, even in the $500.00 range. The table you're looking at is manual and it is higher quality than the automatics that sell for about the same price.
The turntable does come with a cartridge and stylus (needle) and it will be pre-installed on the headshell. No big deal... Follow the directions and you'll be spinning vinyl in no time.
Although that table would work, might I suggest this Audio Technica direct-drive (not as rare as hen's teeth... lol) instead? It only costs a few more dollars and the quality is MUCH better. More high quality metal parts, quartz-locked for perfect speed stability, direct-drive for low maintenance and it comes with a better cartridge that has an elliptical shaped stylus for cleaner tracking and a wider frequency-range. Otherwise, it has all the same features as the table you're looking at.... and more...

EDIT: Everything I said about the table you were looking at was about the ION. I missed your link to the Sony at first. I would definitely avoid that table. There are quite a few reviews complaining about the speed stability (even though it has a pitch control) and it's probably no coincidence. Also, the Sony has no built-in phono preamp and would require a receiver with special "phono" inputs or a separate phono preamp in order to be used with standard line-level inputs (CD, tape, aux, etc...). Can't go wrong with that Audio Technica.
