What is the official pronunciation of Huntington Beach?
My girlfriend, a California native, pronounces Huntington Beach as Hunnington Beach. She drops the t. Making Hunt - Hunn.
I think that's dumb, but I could be wrong.
She references the Beach Boys song Surfin' USA
where they sing the following Huntington as Hunnington....
At Huntington and Malibu
They're shooting the pier
But I thought they just do that to make is sound cool..
so Huntington Beach locals.....which is it?
Huntington or Hunnington... Please set the record straight.
Non locals call it: Huntington (Hunt-ting-ton) Beach (Bee-ch)
Locals call it: (Hun-ning-ton Bee-Ch)

Surf Juggling World Record
Some outstanding art punk rock that you probably haven't heard of?
Alright, they formed in the late 70s and go by the name The Urinals. I found one of their albums at a garage sale a long while back and decided to put it on yourtube. To make it short, they hail from los angeles and started playing at UCLA. later they changed their name to the 100 flowers.
they have since reformed and released a CD in 1997 which features some of their early work. its titled Negative Capability...Check It Out.
it sounds like it was recorded in someone's basement. some of you may not like it but they are worth checking out. trust me.
