Record Player Digital Converter
What can I connect to an in-line recording device so I can actually see a channel?
I don't have satellite, but I have cable. This cable is the type without the box. We do have a box, but that's on a different tv.
Right now, I have a tv coaxail cable to the rf modulator, and I have a coaxial cable from "cable" to the rf modulator. Than, I hooked up the red, white, and yellow cords from the rf modulator to the vcr dvd (vcr recorder and dvd player). All I get is a blue screen for L1, and L2. I want to see at least one channel.
This in-line recording stuff I thought was supposed to for people to have digital garbage, and I have cable, and it's not working!! Why do we need digital tvs? So, the people can buy more things for their tvs because the economy is doing so bad. Oh, those people haven't bought a tv in 10 years. Let's make them buy something for their darn tv.
Can you please help me anyway? If I put the digital converter box on this, I already have a cable cord for this tv.
If you really have an RF modulator, you're using the wrong device. You need a demodulator. The signal from the cable is already modulated and you need to demodulate it to see the picture and hear the sound. If you really have an RF modulator, you're trying to use it backwards. If your TV has a tuner, in other words you can select different channels on it, you don't need a modulator or demodulator. Just connect the cable directly to the TV input. You should see something that way, even without a cable box.
