Receiver Amp Klh
Best option for surround sound?
Okay, I have a KLH R5100 right now and also a set of speakers that came with a Koss DVD Surround combo. The speakers sound terrible and have no bass. Right now my budget is rather small and I would like to stay away from buying a whole new set of expensive speakers and an amp and a $200 subwoofer since the KLH receiver doesn't have +/- inputs for a sub. Do you think the set of 5 Samsung speakers on Amazon for $30 ( http://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-SURROUND-SPEAKER-HT-WZ410T-HT-WZ412T/dp/B001NG8F52/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1231050125&sr=8-7 ) would be a good option for now? I'm just looking for a decent set of speakers with good quality sound. Are these speakers a good choice or would I be better off just saving up for a whole new receiver and everything? Also my room is only 12 x 13 so I don't really need a $1000 system. Thanks
$30 will gain you nothing but you don't have to spend $1000 to get a dramatic difference. Energy makes this one for $500

I like the Energy loads but the Polk price is too good to ignore. On either of these you will notice vast improvements in the bass.
