Rca Record Player Turntable
My turntable record players sound is weird...?
I have an Audio Technica Atlp2d usb that i'm connecting to an ipod dock via auxillary. The volume is fine through the preamp and everything but the sound is slightly warped. I've tried 5 or 6 different records old and new. I took it to the record shop I bought it at and they played it through rca and it sounded fine. I'm just wondering why auxillary sounds so bad. The notes played in the songs will shift up and down (they don't in the real recording). This is my predicamant, any help is appreciated. Thanks!
My turntable is brand new. I took it to the record store I purchased it at and they played it over their speakers and it sounded perfect. I think it may have something to do with me sending the audio signal through auxillary instead of rca. That's how they connected everything.
Your stylus might be causing the problems to warp the sound of your vinyls.
How frequent do you use the stylus? Or how frequent do you use your turntables?
You also mentioned that the notes played in the song will shift up and down. This could also be caused by the cantilever, or even the belt on your turntable plate.
The only probable reason that i see why your vinyls sound like warped would be the belt or the position of your turntable plate.
