How to get highly pure copper in the first place.?
Hi! I know that to get pure copper, it have to go through the process known as electrolysis. The anode will be the impure copper and the cathode will be a highly pure sheet of copper. But if this is the way it is, can anyone tell me, if there is another method to get the highly pure sheet of copper in the first place?
Is there a answer or is this another chicken and egg question? Please tell me! I am eager to know!

Different fluxes can be used depending on what elements it is combined with. The hardest thing to separate from it is nickel.

The matte (copper-iron sulfide) from the furnace is charged to converters where the molten material is oxidized in the presence of air to remove the iron and sulfur impurities (as converter slag) and to form blister copper.
Blister copper is further refined as either fire-refined copper or anode copper (99.5% pure copper), which is used in subsequent electrolytic refining. In fire-refining, molten blister copper is placed in a fire-refining furnace, a flux may be added and air is blown through the molten mixture to remove residual sulfur. Air blowing results in residual oxygen which is removed by the addition of natural gas, propane, ammonia or wood. The fire-refined copper is cast into anodes for further refining by electrolytic processes or is cast into shapes for sale.
In the most common hydrometallurgical process the ore is leached with ammonia or sulfuric acid to extract the copper. These processes can operate at atmospheric pressure or as pressure leach circuits. Copper is recovered from solution by electrowinning – a process similar to electrolytic refining. Contemporary Copper And Pearl Jewelry
Products in the fashion jewelry world are targeted to teenagers and young adults. Often, these groups cannot and/or will not spend a large amount of money on a single piece of jewelry. They would rather own several pieces that are inexpensive, but contemporary and trendy. Copper jewelry is therefore a perfect fit for costume or fashion jewelry. Let's take for example, the large copper pendants that are all the rage right now. The pendants are usually quite large, measuring at least two inches in length. Lengths in excess of three inches are not common. These pendants have a setting that is made from pure copper. The settings are usually quite intricate and have a rustic rose color. The focal bead selected for the pendant is generally a common to semi-precious stone. Since the copper and the stone used are both relatively cheap, the finished pendant is also very affordable, and typically costs less than twenty dollars. Another cost consideration with a copper pendant is that you can use it with a copper chain or even a leather lariat. With a gold pendant on the other hand, you would need to get yourself a gold chain which as you may already know, will set you back by a few bucks! Despite its low cost, the copper pendant has a hip and trendy look to it. It is very unique and you can be sure that it will draw attention to you and make you stand out in the crowd.
Another hot trend for this summer is an interesting twist – both literally and figuratively – on a classic piece of jewelry. For a few centuries now, a single strand of white pearls on the wrist has been considered to be the quintessential piece of woman's jewelry. And while no one can deny the beauty of a classic natural pearl bracelet, it is probably out of financial reach of most jewelry fans! So a contemporary version uses cultured pearls instead of natural pearls which cuts the cost by at least a factor of ten! The current trend is to have three to five strands of 3 to 4 mm pearls dyed in different colors, and twisted to form a thick band or bangle. This version of the freshwater pearl bracelet has a much more contemporary look and is well within the reach of most teenagers and young adults. Other popular versions of the pearl bracelet include small button pearls on a sterling silver chain link spine, and using irregularly shaped baroque pearls.
