Presto Recording
How do I record video off my camcorder?
I have a Sony Handycam HC37E which uses Mini DV tapes. It uses a normal firewire cable - which I have a port for on my PC which is using Windows 7. Windows Movie Maker isn't working for some reason so I tried a few different alternatives which didn't work. I found Presto! Video Works which takes video input but it doesn't recognise my camcorder.
Is there any way I can get a firewire port for my laptop or fix the computer for my PC?

It used to work on my PC when I had XP, but I may not have reinstalled the driver, does anyone know where I can get it from?
Here's a link to the Sony Drivers they have been updated for Windows 7.
You may want to search around the site for software, I know Sony use to provide programs for conversion to windows compatible video files.

Charging the built in battery is a sinch, just plug the spy pen in to an available USB port.
