Transferring all pictures to my portable hard drive in F drive?
I work on Windows XP home and started with all my pictures on MY pictures. Since then I have been looking for an easy way to enjoy and work with my pictures. I have since downloaded Kodak easy share, HP premier, Shutterfly and now have purchased a portable F drive toTRY and organize my pictures and not eat up so much space. My question is how do I transfer and or consolidate all of these programs so that I can both work with and enjoy all of my pictures. Also what do I do with duplicate pictures. Can I safely delete them from a program and keep the negatives? Please help me.
I would suggest to leave all the programs on the computer in the way they are already there. Organize your F: drive by creating different folders. Label the folders by either subject matter, or date of the pictures. In each of those folders create another folder for negatives. Then just move all your pictures by cutting and pasting the files into the folder on the F: drive that matches that picture best. You can just delete the duplicate pictures.
What I would suggest doing is organizing your pictures on your F: drive, then burning all the pictures you currently have to a CD, CD R-W, or DVD. That way you have the pictures stored in a safe location and you can delete them from your F: drive to save even more space. Then just load them from the CD, or DVD whenever you want to use that picture again.

Is it possible to store all my music on a portable hard drive but still play in iTunes?
I am going to be buying a new 27" iMac soon. I have never used a portable hard drive before and was wondering if it is possible to store all my music on in and still have it show up in my iTunes library? I don't want to fill up my computer hard drive with music and would rather use the space for other things.
Yea, you can. As long you have an i-tunes account, and your music is in your i-tunes library, then you can access your music.
