Player Burner
Why Is Windows Media Player Not Recognizing My CD Burner?
I have WMP 11 and it has always worked just fine for whatever I've asked of it. Yesterday I went to burn some new CDs and at the top right it says "Connect a burner and restart the player" The burner is my D drive and has always been fine. I tried restarting the computer, but it still does it. Can you help? Why isn't it being recognized? OR should I get rid of WMP ( I KNOW I hated Jukebox) and DL something better (if it exists, of course)?
This one may be a bit tougher to figure out without really looking into it but first thing I would suggest to check the Recording Tab
To do this go into My computer
right click on your D drive (Burner) select Properties from the list
Do you see a Recording Tab? if no then there is the start of the problem if YES
then select it.
Do you see Enable CD recording on this drive? if so make sure it is checked.
Click Apply and OK.
