Paintball: Does the Smart Parts Ion fire from an open or closed bolt system?
The Ion, as well as any other marker out there, shoots from the closed bolt position. The bolt must be fully forward and sealing the breech for the paintball to be propelled down the barrel.
What you should be asking is if it is a closed bolt or open bolt system. This means is the bolt in the rearward or forward most position when the marker is at rest (between trigger pulls). In this case the Ion is an open bolt marker.
The position of the bolt at rest makes absolutely NO impact on the performance of the marker. Since either an open or closed bolt system releases gas behind the ball only when the bolt is completely forward to seal the breech. Many myths surround this and started back when paintball was moving from pump to semi. Many people believed the pump was more accurate due to the closed bolt design. In fact it was more accurate because nothing was moving when the gas was released and this means that target acquisition was maintained. With a semi-auto marker there is movement no matter which system (open or closed) with the only exception being the very first shot.

The Medicine Within The Negative Ions
The recent researches proved the benefic effect of the negative ions over the human health. The negative ions are oxygen molecules that are carrying an excessive negative charge responsible for creating inside the human organism a general state of wellness.
How did the negative ions become so important?
Did you ever ask yourself what is the reason why are we told to stay outside as much as we can, especially in the areas with fresh air? Or why since we were children have been encouraged to open the windows and let the air inside the house?

The main question is where are the negative ions formed?
The largest generator of negative ions is the Earth which releases millions of cube meters of radioactive gases that are generating the electrons. These are attaching themselves to the oxygen atoms and are transformed into negative oxygen ions.
The main Earth sources are the mountain and the forest. In the mountain areas, especially in resinous forests and near the waterfalls, the level of negative ions reaches very high peaks.
The researchers proved that a middle size tree releases over 24 hours the oxygen necessary for three people. The rain, the storms and the general movement of the air and water are important factors responsible for the creation of negative ions.
