Onkyo Auto
Auto set up on my onkyo sr602 will not read the klipsch ksw12 subwoofer, please help?
front and rear speakers are polk rm2350. center is klipsch sc1 and surround speakers are klipsch ss1. sub cable is from preout sub and have tried cable to lfe R and with splitter to L & R on sub. Switched cable and made sure directional flow correct. Unplugged system and tried auto set up again. reset reciever to factory spec. no good. read the manual 10 times. Am a novice and not very tech inclined. Hooked a polk 10" sub and it worked, took the cable off and set the klipsch in its place and it worked. Cut it all off and went to bed and no bass when I got up the next morning. Hooked up a klh 12" will not read that. I'm about to the point of dropping it all and buying a $200 boxed system (not really) I have a mitsubishi 52725 52"Hd with only a coaxial digital to the reciever and a Dish HD DVR hoked with HDMI to the tv and Optical to the reciever. My email is houstonstuckey@yahoo.com and I really need some guidance on what it could be besides my lack of functioning brain tissue. THANKS
In some cases ( I can't understand why) you have to switch things on manually instead of using an automatic set up. I would try turning on the subwoofer output manually and see if it comes on, because the auto set up systems don't always work perfectly. BTW, some subwoofers require a higher signal level to turn on than others. This could also be the reason why the ONKYO didn't "notice" the Klipsch subwoofer. Good luck

Overall I am very happy UN55B8000. It has great picture quality and contrast in color and have fun with online functions. TV is surprisingly slim and comes with a large booth (not used). However, there are several things that dissuaded me from giving it 5 stars.
Spotlight Effect - This is very clear to me if the screen is dark or black. I see the rays of the LED lights of countries. This is not a problem in scenes with some difficulty, especially if they are well lit.
Auto Dimming Display - When the screen transition from primary especially dim light, the TV will dim the backlight to black levels in dark scenes to improve. This usually happens in a camera cut, and are not visible, but when viewing spaceship with a black background, pop, when the ship takes less than 30% of the screen.
No keyboard support - When I look at things on YouTube, or try to create points in Pandora, placing the keyboard, but things much easier. (We tried to take a USB, but is not supported.)
I have other complaints about this TV though, and very, very rarely my experience effects. We have it on the wall with a steep mountain hand, and often used for films, television and video games.
Since this TV is so thin that you need to remote anchor the wall using mounting brackets.

Amazing Picture Quality - Shame for the Widgets
I've got this TV for about a week now and its mounted up on my TV stand and looks amazing. The picture quality is beautiful and its a massive upgrade for me (Got a TV after 3 years and went from a 32"). I use a Logitech Harmony with this and my Onkyo HT 6200 with an ASROCK ION HT 330 with Media Center as a DVR. So far my family and I are enjoying this Tv. The only thing i'd like to add is that the widgets are horrible to use, so don't bother with that. The mini remote is a nice touch but we have limited use for it.

Awesome TV - Get it without the DLNA / Internet if possible
The good:
1. Amazing picture quality
2. Bright color great contrast...can't even tell it's on
3. Excellent remote
4. Lots of I/O ports to connect stuff
5. Very thin...looks like a picture frame on the wall (mounted it myself with Samsung slim mount)
The not so good:
1. The included DLNA software is pretty basic and not worth it. Recommend using PlayOn or something compatible though I'm not sure what all is compatible. I use it with PlayOn
2. Some in the TV or something that prevents you from watching a lot of the PlayOn content
3. The "widgets" are slow to come up and difficult to browse with the remote...I've mostly given up on them. I recommend attaching a laptop or pc through HDMI and getting a remote for the pc or better yet a bluetooth keyboard with trackpad.
4. The built in content isn't really that great
So overall, buy the TV (maybe one without the media stuff built in) but get a separate media device.

Less Than Prefect
I purchased this TV expecting a high qualitity picture but became disappointed with the picture over time. The picture looks great with BlueRay but at times there are abnormalities or gliches in the motion of things. Another abnormality is while watching TV the faces sometimes look pasty and the back grounds like props, antimated or not real. The TV is better than the rear projector I had but not as good a a movie picture.
One month assessment
Could not be more pleased. Set-up was relatively easy, picture is outstanding and sound is surprisingly good after reading so many reports about poor quality sound. My only disappointment is that Samsung doesn't include with the TV the wireless internet gadget. The Amazon service and delivery was very satisfactory.
