2006 yamaha banshee mods?
hey everyone i just installed a K&N high flow racing filter on my banshee and noticed the sound is better and i have much better performance but the acceleration kinda drops when u reach i high gear if your a bit slow like it takes time to accelerate only if i was a bit slow on a high gear i know thats normal but this is a bit to much i guess i have to tune my needle or carburetor ,jet or what ever also what pipes are best toomeys are too loud im thinking FMF SST.

Toomey pipes are best,,,maybe the loudest,but the strongest performing.
Pro Circuit are approx equivalent of Toomey's performance

You need to increase mainjet 1 or 2 sizes with the freer flowing airfilters.
The needle should be OK.
Never hurts to experiment if you dont mind spending the time---perhaps for "nothing",,,except knowing that you have it as good as it's gonna get.
Lower the Clip on the needle,,,which raises the needle & richens it.
If it goes TOO rich,,,it will stutter/blubber ,,,at steady throttle in the 1/2 to 3/4 throttle range.

You may also wanna try advancing the ignition timing a Little bit.
VITO's Advance key is cheapest,easiest way.
It's merely an offset key to replace the stock one on the magneto's flywheel.
About $20,,,and probly the cheapest boost in power you'll ever get.
Banshee Pipes are a $Gazzilion for 5~6hp gain
Advancing timing is good for 2~3hp for $20
Going waaaay back,,,in the shop a standard tune-up included advancing the ignition timing on every 250/350 twin that came thru the door.
Very long & crazy story how that came to be,,,but Yamaha's original specs were sort ... not wrong,,,,but less than optimal.
I'm certain you'll like the improvement from a slight advance.
