Natural Sound Turntable
1. What do I need to hook my computer to my amp/speakers 2. Would it hurt to put speakers next to my computer?
First is info:
Note: The amp uses http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/images/stereo_phono_cable.jpg to plug input in. (ex. old Turntable.)
-A set of 10" AR Model 30B Speakers.
-A set of 15" Realistic Mach One Liquid Cooled speakers.
-Yamaha "Natural Sound" Stereo Amplifier model A-1020.
-A high-end computer.
So I have two questions I need answered:
1.
What would I need to hook up my amp to my computer?
I think I need a cable that goes from 2xPhono amp jacks -- 1xAudio jack for the computer. I would need about 8-10ft of it.
I can't seem to locate one of those anywhere.
2.
Would it hurt my computer if I put the speakers right next to my computer?
Go to Radio Shack for your connection needs.
Speakers won't hurt your computer is the metal case is completely assembled. This i snot a great idea because the magnetic fields could damage data stored on hard drives and floppy disks. CDs and DVDs are immune.
