Mounting Studs
Mounting tv on one stud?
I know studs should be 16 in apart, but with a stud finder and 12 holes in the wall, we could not find the 2nd stud.
so my 46 in tv will be mounted on the left side with studs, and the right side will be mounted with screws with anchors. We placed the tv on it for about 2 minutes, and it didnt budge. It feele secure, as well. Is it safe?
I have watched enough do it yourself shows to know you should do the job right the first time. It MAY seem secure at the moment but some day you'll be watching TV, or you'll come home from work to find the thing demolished on the floor. Probably sustaining significant damages to the house itself too. Do it right and once you find the studs, patch up the extra holes you have made.
