electric motor pulley...?
working on a a/c unit and the (pulley) shaft on the motor wont turn...need help....
im typing this for my fiance who is working on a a/c unit at work so bear with me if im sounding like i dont know what im talking about.. should you be able to turn the shaft pulley by hand ? why would of how do u know if the motor is bad any signs? it is a commercial unit on the rooftop of a hotel
Perhaps the motor has seized up try to take it out and look the numbers up on it Sometimes it is cheaper to have them re wound. But sometimes cheaper to just buy a new one especially if they are smaller motors. Call and get some prices and make sure that you get it out that it is indeed the motor that has gone bad and not just a simple bearing.
