Media Controller
Run a wireless xbox 360 controller via play and charge?
I know you can run the controllers if you have the "Special" IR reciever, BUT...
My computer was able to download the driver and has identified it. However the computer puts in into an "unspecified" catagory. I have a IR for a media remote, but the device has no connection button. The controller uplinks with my xbox every time I try to connect the controller to the PC.
Any Ideas besides buying the IR w/ controller?
You have to use Microsoft's gaming receiver for windows as it's the only thing that understands the wireless protocol that the 360 controllers use. They're not IR, it's a special wireless setup.
The play-and-charge cable will only charge the controller. It doesn't carry any gaming niformation.

Media Gateway Controller $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A Media Gateway Controller (MGC) is a system used in certain Voice over IP telephony architectures. An MGC controls a number of dumb terminals, the Media Gateways. The MGC receives signalling information (like dialed digits) from the Media Gateway and can instruct it to alert the called party, to send and receive voice data etc. There are several protocols which can be used between MGC and Media Gateway: SGCP, IPDC, MGCP and Megaco (also known as H.248). The MGC receives also the term Call Agent when referred in the context of MGCP. Some MGCs can interface with other signalling protocols, like SS7 (for interconnection with the traditional telephone system), H.323 and SIP. A VoIP architecture using an MGC is sometimes called a softswitch architecture. How do I get my Media Center to visualize?
I have an HP Pavilion m7570n Media Center edition. Sometimes when I open up Media Center, it makes all the noise (so I know it's working), but it comes up as a black screen.
I've been watching my recorded shows on WMP from the folder, but I'm beginning to long for media center and it's handy remote controller functionality. How do I fix this?
