Mat Turntable Where do you get Vinyl records for DJ'ing is that just a blank record or a real song on it that you scratch ?
and i was wondering what slip-mats do are they just put under the vinyl and do you just put your ipod or something into the turntables and scratch off another record someone please explain this little anoying problem !
I don't know about the scratching process. Vinyl records generally have actual songs on them. Try independent record stores, which are generally located in larger cities and college towns.

I need to buy a mat that I can put on top of a turntable and under my cake board so that the cake doesn't slide around while i'm decorating it. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they didn't have any small ones. All of the ones they had were huge/long rolls (bathroom rug size at least). I only need a small one, maybe around 10 in diameter and I don't wanna buy the huge roll just to cut it for one or two pieces and waste the rest.
Does anyone know where I can find a small one? Or will a towel or something else work? I do not want to buy online as I will be needing it soon.
I'm not much of baker... but wouldn't wax paper work, and just don't spin it super fast. Or maybe just a piece of thin cardboard on the bottom. You didn't say how small, so I really can't help you.
