Condenser (Laboratory)

Condenser (Laboratory)

$70.1

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In a laboratory a condenser is a piece of laboratory glassware used to cool hot vapors or liquids. A condenser usually consists of a large glass tube containing a smaller glass tube running its entire length, within which the hot fluids pass. The ends of the inner glass tube are usually fitted with ground glass joints which are easily fitted with other glassware. The upper end is usually left open to the atmosphere, or vented through a bubbler, or a drying tube to prevent the ingress of water or oxygen. The outer glass tube usually has two hose connections, and a coolant (usually tap water or chilled water/antifreeze mixture) is passed through it. For maximum efficiency, and to maintain a smooth and correctly directed thermal gradient so as to minimise the risk of thermal shock to adjacent glassware, the coolant usually (though not necessarily; see Allihn condenser refluxing below) enters through the lower fitting, and exits through the higher fitting. Maintaining a correct thermal gradient (ie entering coolant at the cooler point) is the critical factor. Multiple condensers may be connected in series. Laboratory Management (Paperback)

Laboratory Management (Paperback)

$68.19

Laboratory Management focuses on commonly observed errors in all aspects of laboratory management and how to avoid them.Diagnostic Standards of Care Series Description: A key issue for every laboratory and individual laboratory practitioner is the assessment of risk and a current working knowledge of the standards of care established for diagnostic testing via guidelines, major studies and trials. The Diagnostic Standards of Care series presents an overview of the key diagnoses in clinical pathology using case examples to illustrate effective analysis of the case in light of current evidence and standards for the problem discussed. In addition to being practical diagnostic guides, these volumes will have a unique emphasis on quality assurance and evidence-based testing practices and the role of the pathologist in ensuring quality and patient safety. Product Description: Laboratory Management addresses common issues and errors seen in the laboratory management process in. The goal is to enable the laboratory manager to avoid or correct such errors by both individual effort and a systems approach in the laboratory. The book addresses potential issues in accreditation and regulatory compliance, laboratory and patient safety, quality management, financial management, human resources management, specimen processing logistics, performance standards, selection and management of commercial laboratories and much more. Each of these can have an adverse impact on the laboratory performance if a management error occurs. Potential management errors are described and discussed in a clinical case-based learning format to effectively illustrate the conditions that contribute to these errors and enable the laboratory manager to recognize and avoid them in daily practice.

First of all, it offers 3500 legendary synthesizer sounds from Arturia's vintage analog recreations, including Minimoog, Prophet V, CS-80, Jupiter-8, ARP, Prophet VS, and Moog Modular. It takes it a step further with a unique interface to tweak them all as well as the ability to edit each of them in depth, in the original synthesizer (requires the relevant Arturia synthesizer plug-ins to be installed on your hard drive). Finally, Analog Laboratory also brings Scenes, organized by musical genres. Scenes are a preset configuration of two sounds over your keyboard, plus advanced arpeggiation toward one of these sounds and assignment of loops to the drum pads.

Numerical Mathematics: A Laboratory Approach

Numerical Mathematics: A Laboratory Approach

$218.26

Numerical Mathematics is a unique book that presents rudimentary numerical mathematics in conjunction with computational laboratory assignments. No previous knowledge of calculus or linear algebra is presupposed, and thus the book is tailormade for undergraduate students, as well as prospective mathematics teachers. The material in the book emphasizes algorithmic aspects of mathematics, which are made viable through numerical assignments, in which the traditional chalkandtalk lecturer turns, in part, into a laboratory instructor. It guides the student to create the algorithm required for any given assignment expressed in whichever programming language is used on the basis of the underlying mathematics. The computational assignments cover iterative processes, area approximations, solution of linear systems, acceleration of series summation, interpolative approximations, and construction of computerlibrary functions. Throughout the book, strong emphasis is put upon vital concepts such as error bounds, precision control, numerical efficiency, computational complexity, as well as round off errors and numerical stability. The book is not a numerical methods book, containing readymade computational recipes, but it is the authors belief that the material presented in this book is part and parcel of the mathematical foundations that should be acquired by a student in the microcomputer era.
