Does an air intake like the brute force air intake hurt or help my gas mileage on my 04 jeep wrangler?
I am looking for ways to improve my jeeps gas mileage. Will an air intake hurt or help my wrangler? Thanks!

I have the KN intake and while my gas mileage didnt increase substantially I did pick up way better throttle response. It got rid of that hesitation you feel when you gun it at 45mph. (i test drove 3 new 04 Rubicons and they all did it.) So assuming you do not beat on it more to hear the who00000ose. yes will get a little better mileage. I would also throw on a performance muffler if you haven't already.. every little bit helps
