Where Can I Get A Replacement HID Xenon Arc Lamp Bulb?
So I bought this HID kit for my car on eBay for $39. The ballasts are great, but the bulbs were very low quality and died very quickly. Where can I get a set of replacement bulbs without spending an arm and a leg? I googled it and got anywhere from $120-250 for just two bulbs ... that's way too much. I need a set of two standard HID Xenon bulbs (and I mean the real arc-lamp bulb, not the "high-intensity halogen bulbs" that you get at the auto parts store), without spending a ton.

Major Components of a Bare Lamp
If you are planning to purchase a projector lamp, then it is important to know all its components. A complete projector lamp module consists of a bare bulb, connector, and lamp housing. This post deals with a few facts about bare lamp components.
If we look at the construction of a bare lamp, we can find that the burner is placed inside a reflector. This burner is connected to a cage or plastic covering that surrounds the lamp, which is connected to the projector via connectors.
Burner, also known as high intensity discharge bulb, provides brighter light when compared to other types of bulb. This increased output of light obtained from a single high intensity discharge bulb is one of the reasons for such burners being used in bare lamps. Reflector is one of the key components of a bare projector lamp. The reflector directs the light from the lamp towards the mirror. This mirrored panel prevents scattering of light and ensures that very less light is wasted.
The front glass in a bare projector lamp is another essential component. Hot bulbs are susceptible to quick damage and the front glass prevents physical contact with the bulb. It also avoids accumulation of dirt on top of these bare lamps.
