Protractor $60.54 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In geometry, a protractor is a circular or semicircular tool for measuring an angle or a circle. The units of measurement utilized are usually degrees. Some protractors are simple halfdiscs; these have existed since ancient times. More advanced protractors, such as the Bevel Protractor have one or two swinging arms, which can be used to help measure the angle. A bevel protractor is a graduated circular protractor having a pivoted arm; used for measuring or marking off angles. Sometimes vernier scales are attached to give more precise readings. It has wide application in architectural and mechanical drawing although with the availability of modern drawing software or CAD the tool is less commonly used in that sphere. Universal bevel protractors are also used by toolmakers, as they measure angles by mechanical contact they are classed as mechanical protractors. Bolt Welding Jig Bolt Welding Jig Plus Protractor & Inst. $41.99 Any gunsmith who has ever fiddled fussed and fumed as he tried to align a bolt knob with the cut-off stub of a military bolt handle while altering the bolt for scope mounting will love this jig. As the illustration shows the jig makes it possible to lock both knob and bolt in precisely the desired relationship and hold them firmly while leaving adequate space to weld by either the acetylene or arc methods. Getting the knob and bolt into alignment used to be a real chore and without the jig to hold it all together one incautious movement could upset the alignment leaving the work to be done all over again. The jig employs a different approach to aligning the handle Mfg: Brownells SPECS: "V" clamps are 2-3/8" (8.6cm) long x 5/8" (15.9mm) wide x 1¼" (3.2cm) high with 1" (2.5cm) clamp opening. One leg is 4" (10.2cm) long and the other is 5" (15.2cm). |
