what "driver" do i need for serato?

I tried hooking up my laptop running windows vista to my friend's serato scratch live interface for his turntables. Although my laptop recognized new hardware, I got an error message saying "Windows could not find driver software for your device." It also said, "Serato Scratch Live is missing a driver."
So I guess my question is, where can I get the appropriate "driver" to make Serato Scratch Live work on my laptop?
Again, I have a fairly new HP running windows vista and all of the system properties should exceed the requirements to support the Serato Scratch Live hardware.
