Sound Quality of Vinyl dramatically deteriorates on inner most track?
First off I'm no audiophile but I enjoy listening to my music on vinyl just because of the vintage feeling and all, anyway I've recently noticed that when I play a record the first couple of tracks on a record they sound excellent but when I get to the final track on that side the sound quality is noticeably worse the sound is distorted and I hear little crackles. at first I figured it was just record wear over time but today I got a brand new record and the first time I played it i had the exact same issue. Please help! what can I do. I'm using a Stanton T.52 belt drive turntable with a Numark "groove tool" cartridge on a Stanton headshell. 2.5 g of pressure on the needle (The Numark GT calls for between 2.5 and 3.5g of pressure I've tried different pressures and still experience the same problem). The phono signal is amplified through a Stanton SMX.202 Mixer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I clean my records before every play.
Try cleaning the record.
