boosting fuel economy and performance?
i have a 94 chevy suburban k1500 with a 350 V8. id like to know as many modifications i can do to boost my mpg and performance. plus if anyone knows of any sweet gauge sets and body mods i can put on, lemme know. i lke my trucks big and bad. so dont even suggest anything that will put my truck a centimeter off the ground! it will NEVER be lowered! lifted maybe, but never lowered!
i still want power too though.
Change your gear ratio(s) to one(s) that is/are better for mileage. Buy and install a new computer chip. Better intake, freer flowing exhaust (bigger tubes and larger muffler(s)), dual exhaust (if legal in your state), air cleaner with better flow characteristics or much larger filtering surface, more ignition advance (may require higher octane fuel), replace camshaft with a torque camshaft, high flow performance catalytic converter, better heads with bigger valves, headers and last but not least, rebuild the 350ci and turn it into a 383 stroker motor with the appropriate matching cam for torque. If your transmission doesn't have an overdrive transmission then find one of the newer units with overdrive and install it.
