Lcd screens, Vizio? Sharp? Who makes em?

Need to know who manufactures Vizio, I know it's a company introduced in 2003, fairly new and cheap.

I read Vizio might be partly Sanyo/Fisher, but not sure!
Is Visio part of Japanese companies ?

Also is sharp american or japanese brand?
Do you prefer vizio or sharp LCD?

Putting the questions above aside, in your opinion, which LCD screen would you buy, how many inches, and why?
Yea I figured Vizio is american,very good price and sharp Japan. Like comparing Chevy or Ford to a honda or nissan, haha.
Would you buy the american brand?
Where does Mitsubishi LT-46133 fall in the best to worst list?

i have a 42" Vizio and I am very pleased with the HD picture. it also has sockets for HDMI and all kinds of AV/Audio hook-ups.
